Dennis Bulin jumped out of airplanes for the thrill of it. Skydiving was his passion, but his sights were set on innovating the dive industry. In 1979 he applied the same Ripcord technology in skydiving to Buoyancy Compensators in scuba diving—and Zeagle was born. He believed that to get things done, he had to do them himself. Zeagle has been doing things our own way ever since.

In the ‘80s, we launched the industry’s first Ripcord Release System. In the ‘90s we patented our Personal Fit System™, we produced dive’s first Tech BC, and shifted the industry like never before to focus on heavy-duty professional style products using stainless steel hardware and ballistic materials. Our dive gear is manufactured on U.S. soil. It’s trusted by the U.S. Military and Search and Rescue teams around the globe.

Zeagle BCDs have been known to last over 4,000 dives and it’s not uncommon to have a customer bring in their Zeagle BCD for service after 20 years. Our manufacturing takes place in two, wholly owned facilities, with the latest manufacturing equipment. High quality, premium, durable materials are used in everything we do – from textiles to hardware.
